I am organising some Hoof Trimming Clinics for people interested in learning to trim their own horses or just those who want to learn a little more about how diet, environment, movement and trimming can affect their horses feet.

Jen Clingly and Jeremy Ford are chief lecturers for the Certificate 3 in Equine Hoof Care at TAFE Tasmania - the nationally recognised/certified bare foot trimming course in Australia.

The dates available are the 23rd and 24th of June. Most likely the 23rd will be a DIY course and the 24th can either be an advanced course (looking at lower leg/hoof dissections or rehabilitation of laminitic/navicular horses etc.)or if there is particular demand for a topic then training can be tailored to suit eg, transitioning from shoes, booting - whatever people would like.

The cost is $175 per day, and the participants can bring their own horse to trim under supervision or be trimmed as a demo horse as part of this cost. The location has not been set yet, but will be central to registered participants.
